Our design teams are based at the same location as all other project processes, adding a level of communication which facilitates easier flow of information. The outcome is more concise, innovative and ingenious solutions, developed without increasing cost.

Stímir designers work in AutoCAD, the standard design tool for the professional designer working in the mechanical engineering field. All our design drawings and schematics are stored on our computer system and are therefore easy to retrieve, update and modify.

DESIGN At the core of each project at Stimir hf. is the underlying design of the future product. It is our ambition to produce designs that not only fit their designated environment, but are reliable, efficient and achieve the specified throughput.

Since our inception we have undertaken all mechanical and electrical design ourselves - this is undoubtedly one of the main strengths of our company in relation to making the whole design and construction process more efficient. Communication between the design and fabrication departments is extremely efficient; they are located at the same site meaning that modifications of approved designs are much simpler, making it easier to fabricate more innovative and reliable products, with greater quality, yet without adding cost.
